Once your release has been approved and delivered to music services, it will typically take 1-2 days for most services to process the delivery and make your release live.
Please note, though, that we cannot guarantee that your release will become live within this timeframe, as it may take some services longer to process deliveries (and Apple reserves the right to randomly select a small percentage of releases to go through an internal review process, which can take up to 15 business days).
While UnitedMasters works to deliver content as quickly as possible, we recommend submitting releases 3 weeks before your desired release date to account for platform processing and review timelines, which may vary.
Spotify Delivery Timelines
Spotify requires distributors to deliver content in advance of the release date so their systems have time to process, review, and publish it correctly.
For Spotify, this means:
New releases should be submitted at least 5 business days before the release date you select
Updates or takedowns (such as metadata edits, artwork changes, or removals) should be submitted at least 2 business days before the expected live change
Submitting your content within these timeframes helps ensure Spotify receives and processes your release on time. Submissions made closer to the release date may not be processed in time and could result in delays.
Please note:
Delivery timing refers to when your content is successfully sent to Spotify for processing — not the exact moment it will appear live
Final availability on Spotify can still vary based on platform review and processing timelines, which are outside of UnitedMasters’ control
