An 'Apple Digital Master' is a high-quality audio master specifically created to meet Apple's standards for optimal playback on Apple Music and iTunes. Apple has strict specifications for how music should sound on their platform, and certain mastering providers are experienced in creating masters that fit these specifications, and will be available in the highest quality for listeners on Apple's music services.
To receive this badge on your music, you'll need to first work with an Apple-approved engineer for your mastering - they should be able to tell you if they've achieved this certification. After mastering is complete, you'll submit the release to UnitedMasters through the regular process. Once the release is approved and live on music services, please reach out to us ensuring you provide the following information:
- The title of the album or release
- The UPC of the release, which will be assigned once it has been approved
- The email address of the Apple-approved mastering engineer you've worked with
