You are unable to directly decide how your release is classified on DSPs upon submission. Generally, streaming services have specific requirements for how releases are formatted on their platforms. Further information for these requirements can be seen below:
| Release Format | Requirements |
| Single | 1-3 tracks, 30 minutes or less, with each individual track being less than ten minutes in length. |
| EP | 4-6 tracks, 30 minutes or less OR 1-3 tracks, 30 minutes or less, with one or more tracks being more than 10 minutes in length. |
| Album | 7 or more tracks OR any release longer than 30 minutes in length. |
| Compilation (Apple Music only) | Any album that includes tracks from multiple artists OR multiple tracks from the same artist from different previously-released albums |
However, in certain instances, DSPs are willing to update how your release is classified after it has gone live on streaming services - in that case, our team will reach out to them on your behalf.
