FAQ for Referred Artists (Artist Accepting a Referral)

What do I need to do to join UnitedMasters SELECT with a referral link?

• First, you will need to have the referral link. You must have this link from your friend since it will unlock your discount ($20 off) for UnitedMasters SELECT when a successful referral is completed.
• Next, open the referral link from any web browser on a laptop, desktop, or mobile device.
• Once you open the link, click (or tap) “Join SELECT for $59.99 $39.99”. (Note that if you do not see this discounted pricing, please reach out to the person referring you to ensure you’re using the correct referral link. We’re unable to provide a retroactive referral, so it’s important you see this discounted pricing before joining SELECT so the referral is valid and accounted for.)

• Next, add your email for account creation and a password for your account (entered twice).
• Click “sign up”.

•  Now you’ll need to fill in the details of your payment method for your SELECT membership.

• Once your payment succeeds, you successfully joined UnitedMasters SELECT!

I ran into an issue completing my payment info. Now what?

Don’t worry, the credentials you created for your UnitedMasters account (email and password) are still valid. If you did not purchase SELECT from this referral flow, you will have a DEBUT account for now. You can still join SELECT via the referral link (you will just be asked to log in first before purchasing) or later on in the product (but you may be charged full price).

Can I join SELECT with a Referral link even if I already have a DEBUT account?

Yes, you can. Click on “Already have an account?” and sign in to follow the same steps as for a new user.

Please note that if your account has EVER had SELECT in the past, including the 14-day free trial, you won’t be able to benefit from the referral discount. However, you can still join SELECT at its regular price.

Is there a referral discount for Producer accounts?

No. Referrals are currently only for artist accounts on the UnitedMasters platform. If you log in with an account that has both a producer and an artist account associated with your email address, we’ll ask you which account you’d like the referral discount applied to (any Producer account associated with your email address will be grayed out during this process).

Why did I receive an error when using the referral link?

There could be different reasons for the referral link to fail. Here are the most common reasons why you might receive an error (in order of frequency):

• An account already exists associated with that email. Please log in first to use the referral link. If you’ve forgotten your password for this account, please follow these instructions on how to reset your password for your UnitedMasters account.

• The email address associated with this account has previously had a SELECT membership in the past or had a free SELECT trial in the past. Referral discounts are limited to new users only, but you can still join SELECT for its full price of $59.99 annually.

• The referral link discount has expired. If more than 10 people have used the referral code when being invited by a DEBUT or SELECT member (or 100 if you’re being invited by a PRIORITY/PARTNER artist), then the referral link will no longer be valid because they’ve reached the limit of referrals in a calendar year. You can still join SELECT at its full price or try another referral link.

• The email address you’re using only has a producer account associated with it. To resolve this, log in to UnitedMasters.com and create an artist account associated with your email address/account. Once created, use the referral link again to purchase SELECT at a discount and ensure the referral is processed correctly.

• Referrals are not valid in your location. Referral discounts can only be applied to UnitedMasters SELECT plans priced at $59.99. If you’re in a market that has localized pricing (for example: Nigeria), this discount is not supported at this time. Please refer to the price of SELECT in your local market for annual pricing.

What happens after the first year of discount pricing has lapsed?

The referral discount for UnitedMasters SELECT applies only for the year your account is active. After that, your SELECT membership will auto-renew at $59.99 a year.

What happens if I receive a referral link, but go directly to the UnitedMasters website to join SELECT?

Referral discounts are only applied to accounts that purchase SELECT through the referral link directly. If you purchase SELECT directly on the UnitedMasters website outside of using the referral link, you will not be able to receive the discount. We’re unable to apply referrals retroactively to accounts that purchase SELECT, so please make sure you’re using the direct referral link when completing your sign-up for SELECT.

I have a referral code instead of a link. Can I use it?

No, you cannot paste codes directly. You must use the referral link generated by your friend to be able to redeem a referral discount. Please reach out to your friend directly for their referral link to ensure you’re signing up for SELECT through the referral process.
