The "Appears On" section of Apple Music and Spotify highlights tracks and albums where an artist is listed as a "featured artist" in the release's metadata, but not the primary artist for the release. This section also allows for featured artist mapping to occur so that your fans can know who you're collaborating with on a release. With that in mind, Apple Music and Spotify's "Appears On" sections work in slightly different ways, so it's important to remember these key differences.
Apple Music
On Apple Music, the release will only display on the featured artist's Apple Music artist page if the release is a single or if the featured artist appears on all tracks of a multi-track release.
Spotify
On Spotify, the release will display on the featured artist's Spotify artist page if the release is a single or if the featured artist appears on one or more tracks of a multi-track release.
The ‘Appears on’ section is ordered by popularity. It is limited to display on Desktop the 50 most popular releases, and on Mobile the 25 most popular releases.
Once the release gains enough popularity, you should see it listed in the section.
If you notice that your "Featured Artist" is mapped to the incorrect artist page on Apple Music or Spotify, please see this helpful article on How To Fix Featured Artist Mapping.
