If you use Stripe’s mobile dashboard app or receive Stripe notifications, you may have noticed you’ll see information about incomplete or canceled beat purchases.
Canceled purchases can show up for multiple reasons: the potential buyer entered incorrect payment information, or even were identified by Stripe as a potentially fraudulent buyer.
Incomplete purchases are not uncommon and can occur if a buyer has insufficient funds for a purchase, but are usually shown because a buyer began the purchase flow but backed out before entering any payment information at all.
While it’s unfortunate that the buyer didn’t ultimately complete the transaction, it’s a helpful way to gauge artist interest in licensing your beats.
