Catalog Migration - Platform Specific Tips & Tricks

Spotify 

• Tracks will link based on the uploaded audio files. To make sure your streams carry over when migrating your content, please use the same audio files with the same track lengths!
  • Successfully linked tracks will remain in both user-created and editorial playlists, however, they will not stay under a user’s ‘Liked Songs’
  • Also, please note that a migration can disrupt Spotify promotional campaigns, such as Discovery Mode

Apple Music 

• Tracks will link based on the below criteria being the same as the currently available versions: 
  • Artist Names, Track Titles, Track Count (Music Videos included if applicable), Audio File, ISRCs, UPCs (preferred, not required), and Lyrical Content Ratings
  • If track-linking is successful on Apple Music, the following will carry-over to the re-releases:
    • Inclusion in Apple Music playlists
    • Placement in Apple Music libraries
    • Charting history
    • Popularity

TikTok 

• Sounds on TikTok will merge based on the ISRC and UPC information provided. Please provide us, or use if uploading yourself, the same ISRCs and UPCs for all releases when migrating your content!

Meta (Instagram and Facebook) 

• Tracks will ‘cluster’ on Instagram and Facebook if the same audio file, duration, lyrical content rating, ISRC, and UPC are used when re-uploading.
  • In addition, UnitedMasters can submit a form to Meta containing the migrating ISRCs and the date of delivery so they can make sure everything links on their end!

YouTube 

• Under NO circumstances will Art Tracks on YouTube link, meaning streams on YouTube will NOT carry over when migrating your music.

Audiomack 

• Tracks on Audiomack will merge when the same ISRC is used upon re-uploading. This will lead to streams, likes, re-ups, and trending + playlist adds all carrying over

UnitedMasters 

• Historical streaming data will NOT carry over to your UnitedMasters music tab. All content re-released via UnitedMasters will only display streams from the day the re-upload goes live in your account dashboard
  • To view all-time stream counts for music you have migrated, please refer to the Streaming Platform specific applications. For example, Spotify For Artists and Apple Music For Artists
