When Will I Get Paid?
Starting June 2023, we made a change to begin updating your Wallet balance throughout the month, as we receive and process payments from different music services, instead of just once a month. This means you’ll get paid more frequently and be able to cash out with more flexibility.
This also means that you may see your Wallet updated with earnings from some music services earlier in the month, and others not until later in the month - so, if you have big expenses that you’re saving for (like bills, or music equipment), you may prefer to cash out later in the month when earnings from more music services have accumulated in your Wallet.
When Can I Cash Out?
If you have a paid UnitedMasters membership, you can cash out any time you have enough funds in your Wallet Balance to cover payment processing fees*.
If you have a non-paid UnitedMasters membership, you can cash out any time you have at least $20 USD in your Wallet Balance*.
Now that UnitedMasters is updating your Wallet Balance throughout the month, it’s up to you if you prefer to cash out multiple times during the month or wait until you’ve accrued more earnings.
*As a reminder, any applicable processing fees will be deducted by our payments provider each time you cash out - so, if you’re concerned about the fees associated with cashing out more frequently, you may want to wait.
How Do I Cash Out?
To request a cash out, log in to UnitedMasters, select the Wallet tab and click or tap on “CASH OUT”:
This will bring up a summary screen with more information, including your designated payout method and any applicable fees:
Once you’ve clicked or tapped “CASH OUT” from this summary screen, you’ll see a confirmation message and, if your request requires review, the cash out button will read “PENDING.” Cashing out then will be disabled until your request has successfully been processed:
You’ll also see a message in your Wallet letting you know once your request has been approved that funds are on the way:
Please note that after a cash out is completed, the button will stay disabled until you have more funds in your Wallet.
How do I view my Wallet history?
In the new “Wallet History” section of the Wallet tab, you’ll be able to see your last five transactions. These transactions include royalty earnings that are deposited into your Wallet for each music service, and your cash outs as they are withdrawn from your Wallet.
Tapping “View All Transactions” in your Wallet will take you to the transactions month picker where you can view all your historic transactions. Select a month and you’ll see all the transactions within that month.
NOTE:: In the past, if you tapped the button to view your March 2023 reporting, you would’ve noticed the statement you’re looking at was actually from January earnings processed in February. To make things simpler, we’re moving statements so that they match the month we actually processed those earnings in. This means now if you're tapping to view your March 2023 reporting, the statement will cover February earnings we actually processed in March 2023.
