As part of UnitedMasters' membership offerings, your music will be released to social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Delivering your music through UnitedMasters gets your tracks into these official audio libraries, which means your music is eligible for monetization (so that you can get paid when other people use your music) and helps you gain new fans!
Since each social media platform is a bit different, we’ve provided some simple instructions on how to find your releases on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
TikTok |
How do I find my music on TikTok?
- Open the TikTok app.
- Tap on the search icon (magnifying glass).
- In the search bar, type in your artist name and track title.
- Tap on the “Sounds” tab.
- From this page, you can tap into your music to see any related posts that have used your music. Additionally, tap the arrow in the top right corner to share the link to the sound directly with your fans!

What if I am receiving a message that tells me my music is not licensed for commercial use?
- As part of your membership benefits, your tracks have been delivered to TikTok's General Music Library for use in videos. However, TikTok currently restricts submissions to their Commercial Music Library, which is used by business accounts. This is to prevent brands from using sound clips in commercial videos without a license. While we are unable to distribute your music directly to TikTok’s Commerical Music Library, UnitedMasters can help by submitting a safelist for your tracks for use on specific business accounts.
- So, if you have a TikTok business account, please submit a request and provide us with your TikTok handle and the names/UPCs of any releases you'd like to safelist, and we can make the releases available for your business account's use.

Can I pick a specific timestamp for Instagram sound clips?
- Unfortunately, Instagram does not support delivering specific timestamps for the start and end points of sound clips - they have an algorithm that calculates the "best" parts of a track based on how other users have utilized it. The track may start from the beginning once it goes live but, as users start consuming it, Instagram's algorithm will change the preview time to match the best part of the song.
What if I am having issues finding my music on Instagram when searching by artist name or track title?
- This may be due to the search algorithm for Instagram. For a more specific search, you can use the track’s ISRC.
- In the search bars, type in “isrc:” followed by the ISRC of the track for a more specific track search on these social media platforms (example: isrc:QZNMT1234567).
