Every track that UnitedMasters delivers needs an International Standard Recording Code (or "ISRC"), which music services use to identify your track and make sure that streams and royalties are properly allocated to it (among many other things).
You can read more about ISRCs on the website of the US ISRC Agency.
If you don't already have an ISRC for your track when you submit it to UnitedMasters, not to worry! We will assign one for you automatically when your release is approved and delivered to music services.
In order to find the ISRC that UnitedMasters has assigned to your track:
IF YOU'RE USING OUR WEBSITE:
-
Log into your artist account.
-
Click on the "Music" tab in the left sidebar (represented by a musical note icon).
-
Click on the cover art of the release containing your track(s).
-
Scroll down to the track list, and you’ll find the ISRC codes listed next to each track, just underneath the "split pay" section.
-
To copy your ISRC, click the two boxes next to the ISRC to copy it to the clipboard.
IF YOU'RE USING OUR MOBILE APP:
-
Open the UnitedMasters app and log in.
-
Tap on the icon resembling a person at the bottom of the screen.
-
Click the cover art of the release containing your track(s).
-
Select the specific track for which you want the ISRC.
-
Tap the Information icon (a lowercase "i") in the top-right corner of the screen to view the track’s ISRC.
If your track has not yet been released, its ISRC will not be available until the distribution process is complete. Once approved and distributed, the ISRC can be accessed following the steps described above.
