When UnitedMasters delivers your releases to YouTube, YouTube will generate “Art Tracks” on your artist “Topic Page”. Each art track will generate a unique Video ID.
So, in cases that an artist re-releases a track, releases a single and then includes that single on a future album release, or transfers a release to UnitedMasters from another distributor, YouTube will not be able to carry over view counts or provide track linking even if the same UPC and ISRC is used. A new art track and new Video ID will be generated by YouTube.
Per YouTube’s guidelines, It is not possible for different Video IDs to share the same view count. They all have their own view count.
The view count of a video is a metric that represents the total number of times that videos have been viewed by users. It is a fundamental statistics used to measure the popularity and reach of a video. Each time a user watches a video, YouTube increments the view count associated with that specific Video ID by one.
The reason why different Video IDs cannot share the same view count is because the view count is tied directly to each Video ID. Each Video ID has its own dedicated view count that reflects the number of times that specific video has been viewed.
Even if two Art Tracks were the same track, they would still have different Video IDs assigned to them by YouTube, and thus, they would have separate and distinct view counts. This is essential for accurately tracking the performance and engagement of individual videos on the platform.
