While UnitedMasters accepts 16-bit OR 24-bit .wav or .flac files with sample rates of 44.1, 48, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz - it is highly recommend that artists submit files at a bit sample rate of 16bit 44.1khz - as this bit sample rate is virtually indistinguishable from higher bit sample rates (and comes in a smaller file)! Please note that bit sample rate files higher than 16bit 44.1khz will be automatically converted back to 16bit 44.1khz upon delivery to most music services (with respect to music services like Apple Music and TIDAL, who offer higher integrity listening experiences for users). Please also note that if .flac, .mp3, or .m4a files are provided, they will be automatically converted to 16-bit stereo .wav files to meet music service requirements - which may have an impact on sound quality.
