If you are interested in applying for an Official Artist Channel (OAC) through UnitedMasters, please ensure that you:
Have an active and paid UnitedMasters membership.
Have distributed at least 3 releases from your UnitedMasters artist account
Own and operate a YouTube channel that represents one artist or band
Upload at least 1 full-length release to your YouTube channel that also resides on your topic channel (YouTube Shorts and compilations do not suffice)
Have at least 3 official releases on YouTube delivered and distributed by a music distributor or label
Have zero policy violations on your channel
Have no non-music content on your channel
If you meet the above requirements, please reach out.
Please keep in mind that, when you use an artist name that is also being used by other artists, this can lead to mapping issues, where your Art Tracks appear on someone else’s Topic Channel, or vice versa. Choosing a unique artist name can help you avoid this - but, if it happens, you can always reach out to us, and we’ll do everything that we can to help!
It is important to note that these Topic channels are fully managed by YouTube, and artists do not have login access or the ability to directly modify them.
Please note that it can take up to 30 days for a new Topic Channel to be generated by YouTube, during which time your Art Tracks may appear on a channel with the title “Various Artists - Topic”.
Art Tracks have comments turned off by default, but artists who have an OAC can enable comments by following these instructions from YouTube.
OACs, however, allow artists to enable comments, fostering better interaction with their audience and creating opportunities for community engagement around their content.
