Once a release has been delivered to music services, you’re not able to directly make edits through your UnitedMasters account. That said, some metadata changes can be handled by our team on the back end.
Please note that each editable item listed below is generally supported for up to two (2) updates per release. While we’ll always do our best to help, we can only guarantee up to two updates per item. If additional changes are needed beyond this, our recommendation is to request a takedown and re-upload the release with the correct information, using the original ISRCs where applicable.
Below is a chart outlining the types of edits we’re able to support.

Further Info
Release Titles
Yes
Please keep in mind that if your release is only one track, the titles must match. We cannot change only the release title or only the track title.

Genre
Yes
We have a predetermined list of genres available in DSPs, which can be found here. You can also add a secondary genre to your release.
Label Name
Yes
Established labels (Universal, Columbia, Atlantic, etc.) cannot be used in this field. Requests to add these labels can be considered copyright infringement, and may result in disciplinary action, such as suspension of distribution privileges.
Featured Artists
Yes
We have a metadata watchlist to ensure that established artists cannot be added to releases without permission. Requests to add popular/well-known artists will require documentation allowing you to distribute on that artist’s behalf.
Producers

Release Date
Yes
Please be sure that the audio file you’re submitting is an updated version of the original audio file on the release. If you’d like to change a song on the release entirely, you’ll be required to take down the release entirely, and resubmit as a new release.
Audio File
Yes
Please be sure that the audio file you’re submitting is an updated version of the original audio file on the release with the same audio length. If you’d like to change a song on the release entirely, you’ll be required to take down the release entirely, and resubmit as a new release.
Explicit Content Rating
Yes
Please note that if your cover art contains the ‘Parental Advisory’ sticker, at least one track on the release must be marked explicit. If you’re requesting to change a release to ‘not explicit’, and the current cover art contains that sticker, you’ll be required to submit updated cover art.
ISRC/UPC
No
ISRCs, which are meant to be associated with one specific sound recording, cannot be changed once submitted. To update an ISRC, you’ll need to takedown and resubmit the release entirely.
Similarly, UPCs can only be assigned to one product, meaning that even if you submit the same exact release multiple times, they will have different UPCs. These cannot be updated at all.
Order of Tracks
No
We're unable to edit the order of your tracks once a release has been approved. To make the change, you can resubmit the release with the tracks in the desired order and then take down the old version of the release. Be sure to submit with the same metadata and audio files to maximize the likelihood of track linking in music services that support this.
Language
Yes
We have a long list of languages, and are happy to update your release to reflect your preferred language! We'll let you know if the option isn't available once you contact us.
C and P Lines
No
Currently not editable in artists' accounts. They will populate the current year as well as whatever is entered in the "Record Label" field. If you are submitting a re-release, please let us know so we can manually update this information for you.
TikTok Sounds
Yes
Maximum addition to Sounds is 2 snippets per track on top of the one that is automatically submitted.
Redeliver
Yes
This item is considered when no changes were made to the release but you would like to reinstate it anyway after taking it down
