If you use someone else’s trademark or service mark in commerce without their permission such that it is likely to cause consumer confusion, they can sue you for trademark infringement, and if successful, stop you from using your name and recover damages.
This is true whether you directly use another party’s trademark as your trademark, or whether you use another party’s trademark in a way that implies that they have endorsed you or that you are affiliated with them when in fact you are not.
